WooCommerce

Install the official Tranzak for WooCommerce plugin to accept MonCash, NatCash and cards in a WordPress shop without writing code.

The official plugin lets your customers pay with MonCash, NatCash, bank card or LakayPay Card at checkout. You write no code: you paste your keys and two URLs. Card details are entered on a secure Tranzak page and never reach your shop.

Download

Version 1.0.3
File tranzak-for-woocommerce-1.0.3.zip (50 KB)
Requires WordPress 6.2+, WooCommerce 8+, PHP 7.4+
SHA-256 000d2b82d94eb77d470c4bad2997106df68b7098b55c2a59a368b0d3ace945f4

Install and configure

1. Install the plugin

WooCommerce must be installed and active, and your shop currency set to HTG or USD. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP and click Activate. A new WooCommerce → Tranzak menu appears.

2. Get your keys and register your shop

  1. In the Tranzak dashboard, open Developer → Websites and create a website for your shop. Note its webhook secret (whsec_…).
  2. Under API Keys, generate a test key (tk_test_…). Use a live key (tk_live_…) only when you are ready for real payments.
  3. In WooCommerce → Tranzak, choose the mode, paste the API key and the webhook secret, then save.
  4. The same page shows two URLs: the Webhook URL and the Return URL. Copy them into your website's settings in the Tranzak dashboard.
  5. Click Test connection. You should see "Connected (test mode)" and the list of available methods.
  6. Open WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and enable the Tranzak methods you want.

Payment methods and currencies

Method Shop currency What the customer pays
MonCash HTG or USD Always in HTG (USD prices are converted)
NatCash HTG or USD Always in HTG (USD prices are converted)
Bank card HTG or USD Charged in USD (HTG prices are converted)
LakayPay Card HTG or USD The shop currency

If your shop is priced in USD, MonCash and NatCash still work. Tranzak converts the order total to gourdes at its own rate, rounded up to the next gourde, and the checkout tells the customer the rate. The order note records the conversion. See Currencies and exchange rate. Fees are deducted from the amount you receive, never added to the customer's total.

How orders are updated

When the customer comes back from the payment page, and again when Tranzak sends its signed webhook, the plugin reads the real payment status from the Tranzak API, checks the amount and the currency, then marks the order as paid.

  • A payment that arrives late, for example after the customer's first card was declined, is still recognised.
  • If the same order is paid twice, a note is added so you can refund the extra payment from the dashboard.

Good to know

  • The webhook URL must be a public https:// address. On a local or http site, orders are still updated when the customer returns to the shop, but not by webhook.
  • In test mode, MonCash and NatCash are simulated and no real money moves. Cards use the Stripe test cards, for example 4242 4242 4242 4242.
  • Bank card in live mode requires Tranzak's approval of your account (Payment methods → Request access). Until then the card method is hidden at checkout.
  • No refunds from WooCommerce yet. Refund a payment from your Tranzak dashboard, then update the order in WooCommerce.
  • If several shops share one Tranzak website, give each a different Order reference prefix.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to check
"There are no payment methods available" Enable the methods in WooCommerce → Settings → Payments, check that the API key is saved, and that the shop currency is HTG or USD.
An order stays "Pending payment" Check that the Webhook URL is saved in your Tranzak website settings and that the webhook secret in the plugin matches.
You need details Tick Debug log in WooCommerce → Tranzak, then read WooCommerce → Status → Logs (source tranzak). Secrets are never logged.

Privacy

The plugin sends the order amount and currency, the order reference and description, and the customer's name, email and phone number to the Tranzak API (https://api.tranzak.co) to create and verify payments.

Updating from an earlier version

Version 1.0.3 moves the API address to https://api.tranzak.co. Earlier versions keep working. Update when convenient: upload the new ZIP over the old one in Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
